About me

Hi,

Welcome to my photoblog. If a picture paints a thousand words then this would be an essay of my experiences in this journey called life.

I started my photographic journey in late 2004, on a trip to Korea. At that point I was armed with a 2 megapixel Fuji A201 digital point-and-shoot camera that I had borrowed from a relative for the trip. Needless to say, upon coming back, I found that the photos did not do any justice to what I saw in Korea. That got me started into the then mystical world of photography. I soon got a 2nd hand Panasonic Lumix F10Z prosumer digicam and started shooting for a year with it. I soon outgrew it and got myself a 2nd hand Nikon D70, this was going to be my venture into the SLR realm.

I hope my photography can even begin to capture a part of all the beauty that an infinitely great and sacrificially loving God has imbued upon this earth and all its inhabitants therein, but chiefly for the pinnacle of His creation, man.

You’ll see the world differently through the lens of a camera, but more importantly, I saw the world differently after looking through a camera lens.

Today, I shoot with my trusty D200. I love to shoot portraitures and landscapes. Photos that tell a story or express an emotion intrigue me. As a photographer, it would then be my passion to take photos that would elicit these emotions from those who would see my art.

If you like the pictures you find here, I thank God. Hang around, leave a comment or two.

Please feel free to send mail or inquiries here

Cheers!
Nelson Lim

Hi, A friend linked me your website and I saw a photo taken from Chosen Christian Primary School, Kenya. I like to ask why were you there? Which church are you with?

And by the way, you photos are very well taken! I love the composition on most of the photos taken :)

    God Bless…

      Hi Alvin,

      Thanks for your comments.

If you’ll like to know more information about my trip there, feel free to ask me via email. I’ll see what I can do to answer. Are you from Singapore as well?
